Much of mānuka oil’s efficacy is linked to its levels of naturally occurring chemical compounds called triketones. To ensure the maximum potency of That’s It Mānuka Oil we specifically grow a regional variant known to produce high triketone levels.
Our vacuum distillation method allows steam to form at a much lower temperature, reducing triketone damage and creating a 100% pure, high-potency, essential mānuka oil. To get slightly more detailed, it is an essential oil created from steam distilling the bark, wood and leaves of New Zealand’s native Leptosepermum scoparium shrub (commonly known as mānuka).
